"ok </3" is the latest track released from okgiorgio's emoji series

okgiorgio is back with his latest track from the ok-emoji series. As is reflected in the title, the track is inspired by heartbreak. Whilst the majority of the song focuses on illusive vocals from Welsh singer-songwriter Violet Skies contrasted with the strong beat that continues throughout, Giorgio finishes up by building into a finale of 'broken-beats', which he states are to act as a metaphor for a broken heart. The lyrics discuss heartbreak too, with words such as 'Swear I do, I love you' representing the aching feelings of not wanting a loved one to leave. Even the artwork portrays heartbreak, albeit a different kind, as it shows a climber hanging from a rope having fallen from the climbing wall.

Alternatively, the music video watches okgiorgio in the process of creating the song. Clips of him working in the studio and on his laptop have been cut together to show how meticulous his creative process is, and to also give the listener an insight to the way he works.

Here is okgiorgio's description of the track:

ok </3 is my latest addition to the ok emoji series. I wanted to contrast the dreamy pop vocal with an alternative dance sound with uk garage and grime sounds. The result is an uplifting structure that builds into a broken beat finale, the metaphor of a broken heart.
