As the longest running global pro-gaming tour in the world, Intel® Extreme Masters (IEM) has over the last decade revolutionised the world of esports. Started in 2006 by ESL and Intel, the competition features the world’s best gamers in multiple esports titles. With a wealth of experience, they have established themselves as one of the most prestigious and traditional events in the world.
From the 28th February to the 3rd March, the former coal-mining town turned University hub, Katowice in the south of Poland once again hosts the leading esports event in the World, IEM Katowice 2019 at the Spodek Arena. Hosting one of the largest tournaments of 2019 for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and also, Europe’s biggest ever Fortnite tournament.
Aligned with the competition on Sunday 3rd March, esports team Fnatic collaborate with legendary record label Virgin EMI to host an unofficial afterparty, bringing together two undisputed disruptors of their respective disciplines for an evening hosted in a unique warehouse location. The 500-capacity venue will be converted to host an exclusive after-party with Elite gamers and a line-up packed with Virgin EMI artists, amongst an array of gaming stations.
Irish DJ/Producer, Jay Pryor will be joining the line-up for the exclusive party. With co-writing credits for Steve Aoki, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, as well as taking on remix duties for the legendary Room 5’s ‘Make Luv’ and support from some of the biggest names in the industry such as Tiësto, Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers and Don Diablo, Jay is an artist with big future ahead of him. With an affinity for gaming the you Dublin producer has grown up making and editing montages of his early days playing Call Of Duty, he’s since graduated to an avid Fortnite fan.
